Amazon fire tv ui

In August of 2016 I was brought on for one of Amazon's latest projects-a revamp of their Fire TV UI.  Over the course of the next six months I was part of a team that produced thousands of graphics for over 25,000 titles.  All of the images had to be designed in Photoshop to fit within the new UI and it's safe zones.  You can view an article here on it.  Titles included everything from black and white films, to kid's shows, to recent action and adventure films and they all needed to have the same cohesive look in the end.

Process

Each design needed to have the main characters and title easily viewable for the customer.  In many cases this included creating seamless horizontal artwork from vertical assets, stitching together multiple pictures, color correcting, blending, cloning, patching, and resizing things until they looked just right.  Any additional texts, logos, or artifacts were removed to leave the viewer with a solid, clean image.
